2013 Wedding Trend Alert – Prints, Birch Bark and Backdrops

As the year 2012 winds down, we begin to look ahead to the year 2013 to see what types of new trends, décor ideas, themes and styles that the New Year will bring to our couples and their families.

Since I began my research of what is going to be popular this upcoming year, I have come across certain trends that are really going to be making a timeless impression. I am talking about prints, birch bark and backdrops. Backdrops and bark décor are items that I have already begun to see at our events in 2012, but they are going to be making a huge statement in upcoming New Year.

Trends have always been a part of this industry that come and go so easily, but prints are one of the many trends that can be used for the many aspects of any event. Every pattern and print allows a bride and or groom to personalize and express themselves. Whether you choose to use them for the bridesmaid’s dresses, table linens or table runners, table numbers stands, or even your cake; prints are going to make a fabulous statement in the year of 2013.

If you are trying to create a rustic/country style themed Reception, then Birch Bark will add a refreshing and unique feel to your event. Birch Bark can be incorporated into anything for your event such as centerpieces, guestbook, cake stand, table numbers, etc. The ideas are endless. Along with the Birch Bark, incorporating flawless bird décor has begun to follow behind this trend allowing you to create that rustic, but also elegant Wedding.

Backdrops will begin to add a beautiful touch to the décor of your Wedding. Most of the backdrops that I have begun to see as we go into the New Year have all been DIY (Do It Yourself) projects. They are such simple projects that can really add that extra uniqueness to your event. Backdrops are mostly used to be placed behind the cake display, a dessert or cookie bar, DJ and or Ceremony.
