Communicating Your Wedding Day Vision in Four Steps

Despite popular belief, your vendors are not mind readers! As much as we would love to be, we cannot peer into your brain and determine that EXACT shade of blue you want for your table runners, or that one specific flower you love…but do not know the name of. Pictures are the perfect way to show your vendors what you do and do not want to see on your wedding day.

Here at Personal Touch we have come to appreciate the ease and convenience of inspiration boards! Here is a simple step by step process to help put your vision together:

Building Your Board:

1. Start with mixing & matching colors that catch your eye.

2. Look into different types of settings you could see yourself spending your special day at.

Maybe that place is a Lush Garden, a Tropical Beach, a Rustic Barn House, ect.

3. Gather pictures that reflect the type of mood you want to set.

Whimsical, Elegant, Fun, Laid-Back, Romantic

Pictures to look for: Lighting of Event Space, Dresses/Attire, Flower Arrangement

4. Last but not least, add in all the extra touches!

  • These include: DIY Crafts, Signature Drinks, Extra Décor, Cakes/Desserts, Favors

An important thing to remember when putting together your board is that this is NOT a shopping list! Everything that catches your eye or is on your board does not need to make an appearance at your wedding. The main function of having an Inspiration Board is simply to help you communicate your vision to others, and also helps you focus in on making sure you have a complete and cohesive wedding day!
