This week on the blog we are featuring some of our favorite hors d’ oeuvres!
Cocktail hour is a great time for your guests to mingle, grab a drink and graze on delicious hors d’ oeuvres. Below are some of Personal Touch Dining’s favorites which include items like Chicken & Waffle Bites, Sirloin & Gorgonzola Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Mini Crab Cakes with Tomato & Jalapeno Relish and Gourmet Sliders with Creamed Bleu Cheese & Crisp Bacon. Another great addition to cocktail hour would be a stationary option of fresh fruits, imported & domestic cheeses and seasonal crudité.
Jennifer and Frank were such an amazing couple to work with! They exchanged heartfelt vows in an intimate ceremony under the beautiful oak trees at Mt Woodson Castle. Their guests enjoyed lawn games, delicious food by Personal Touch Dining and fun wedding favors of Limoncello.
It is best to plan where your guests sit in advance in order to avoid confusion on your special day. Creating place cards or a seating chart are a great ways to direct your guests to their designated tables. We love when our couples get creative with these!
Below are some unique and fun ideas that will stand out to your guests and add to the ambience of your wedding!
Adding lounge furniture not only adds to the décor of your wedding but your guests will love having an inviting place to relax and mingle during breaks off the dance floor.
Here are some comfy and fun lounge furniture arrangement ideas that are sure to be awesome additions to any reception.
Sami and Lance tied the knot on a beautiful day at Quail Haven Farm. With tables covered in greenery and yellow flowers, the reception looked gorgeous and matched this venue so well. We love how they wrote table assignments on vintage window panes with photos of the happy couple hanging from the frame.
Tucked away in Balboa Park, the Japanese Friendship Garden boasts beautiful scenery. The venue features two event spaces including the upper garden which is a beautiful outdoor area with a serene coy pond and ceremonial gates that allow for the perfect ceremony backdrop. The Inamori Pavilion is the newest addition to the gardens and is an indoor space with wood accents and lots of natural light. Private events will enjoy private access to the entire garden for up to 300 guests.
We can’t get enough of Sarah and Jonathan’s wedding photos! The two tied the knot at Rancho Bernardo Courtyard with a reception full of countless details and cute decor. They used pineapples and succulents as centerpieces and other accents around the courtyard. Along with cute signage at the bar and cake table, they made table number signs with adorable pictures of the bride and groom when they were kids.
Cori and Nick created the perfect combination of elegance and fun at their beautiful wedding at the Darlington House. The two got married under an arch covered with gorgeous flowers in the rose garden, followed by cocktail hour on the patio. Once the reception was ready to begin, the rose garden had been completely transformed from the ceremony to reception area. With a color scheme of white, black and gold, the pink and burgundy flowers became the perfect accents. The photobooth was a huge hit, along with the late night donut and coffee station!
We’re so happy we could spend the day with Ashley and Jordan at the San Diego Botanic Garden! The day started off with a beautiful ceremony in the Walled Garden, followed by cocktail hour in the Lawn House and the reception on the Gazebo Lawn. The bride and groom sat with the bridal party at a head table, which was adorned with garland and pretty signage. A chandelier hung above the bride and groom’s seats and market lighting was displayed across the lawn. They incorporated the floral theme of the venue by giving their guests flower seeds as wedding favors.
Not only was this a gorgeous wedding, but it was also full of fun and creative ideas. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests wrote notes to the bride and groom on jenga pieces. The couple also prepared a special wedding coloring book with crayons and set them at each place setting on the kids table. Along with a two tiered wedding cake, there was a delicious assortment of gourmet desserts for the bride and groom to share with their guests!
