Wedding Photographer Tips and the Top 10 Must Have Photos From Your Wedding

Finding the right photographer for your Wedding is one of the most important elements when planning your Wedding. Of course details such as the DJ, cake, flowers, caterer and wedding coordinator that are needed for a wedding are important, but the pictures are what will capture all of the special moments that will last forever.

A great way to start searching for a wedding photographer is ask your family, friends, coworkers and anyone that you know who has been married in the past for recommendations on a photographer that they were happy working with. If none of these recommendations work, then hit the internet to start searching for the best photographers. One you make a list of a number of photographers that may interest you, make sure to spend some time on their website viewing their portfolios to see the type of photography that they do. You can also go onto their social media pages to see how they interact with their followers. Make sure to also decide on what type of photography you are looking for. Are you looking for your photos to tell a story, or do you want portrait/old fashioned photos? This will be very important when choosing the right photographer that matches the style you are looking for.

After you have narrowed down your photographer choices, begin to set up some consultations with the photographers of your choice. Their photos may be exactly what you are looking for via their website, but if you and the photographer do not have great chemistry and an understanding of what you are looking for, this is going to lead to miscommunication on the day of your event and disappointment in the end.

One of the most important things to consider when hiring your photographer for your wedding is to confirm that your photographer is familiar with the area and location/venue that your Wedding Ceremony and or Reception will be taking place. I have seen too many wedding photos at specific locations where the photographer did not take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings of the location and venue. If the photographer is not familiar with the location, then schedule a site visit with them prior to the event. This will help to map out specific locations where you would like your photos to be taken. It will also ensure that you get exactly what you want from your photographer and that they will be prepared the day of.

When all is said and done and you have booked your photographer for your Wedding, make sure that they are going to capture some of the amazing details and hard work that has gone into your wedding and all of the day of special moments.
