Another absolutely stunning ceremony and reception at the Darlington House! The dining tables featured sheer silver overlays with gorgeous centerpieces of roses, peonies and hydrangeas. Copper mugs were given as guest favors and used as placecard holders too!
Everyone at this reception loved Personal Touch Dining’s delicious food! Entrees included Chicken Cacciato and Grilled Salmon with a Mango and Green Onion Relish. Pictured below are two of the tray passed hors d’oeuvres that were served, Mozzarella and Tomato with Pesto Mini Panini and Bacon and Caramelized Onion Mushroom Caps! Cupcakes Squared provided the cupcakes with mouth-watering flavors of chocolate, red velvet and vanilla chi! The bride and groom added a fun touch to their reception by assigning Charger and Seahawk jersey numbers to the dining tables!
Today I’d like to feature one of my favorite venues, the Darlington House. Everything from it’s charming gardens to the stunning fountain on its Egyptian Patio make this the perfect place to have a wedding. The architecture is absolutely breathtaking with it’s detailed archways and Spanish inspired tiling. When the ocean breeze and sounds of the nearby waves are combined with the gorgeous sun that sets over the house, the place becomes enchanted and filled with romance. The Darlington House can hold up to 200 guests yet still has an intimate and cozy feel. Emilie, the Event Manager, is wonderful and will make sure that your special day isn’t anything but perfect. Below are a few of the weddings that Personal Touch Dining has done at the Darlington House.
This was a fun and creative wedding at the Darlington House. The Panko Chicken Skewers made by Personal Touch Dining were a huge hit and Cupcake Love satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth with their delicious cupcakes! Music was provided by The Grand Canyon Sundown Band and had everyone up and moving their feet all night!
This couple had some very unique placecards to add to their already bright and beautiful wedding. Delicious Hors d’oeuvres were provided by Personal Touch Dining and included Chicken Yakitori, Artichoke and Sundried Tomato Pinwheels, Mini Pesto Paninis and Spicy Chipotle Shrimp!

The garden theme in this reception was tied together by the wheatgrass provided by Personal Touch Dining for the placecards. The centerpieces each featured a different, beatiful flower, provided by Rainbow florist. My favorite are the calla lilies on the head table! After guests feasted on Top Sirloin and tender, flaky Salmon, Ed hayes kept the music going. The cupcakes were actually made by a friend of the lucky couple. They were not just pleasing to the eye, but delicious as well! Personal Touch Dining provided the glass tiers for the cupcakes.

Today I am featuring a bright and shiny reception at the Darlington House in La Jolla. In addition to our grilled tri tip and savory mushroom herb chicken, guests enjoyed a refreshing signature drink of vodka, lemonade, grenadine, and fresh strawberries. La Jolla DJ kept the guests dancing all night, and Rhapsody in Bloom provided the sophisticated centerpieces.
Navy and yellow is a color combination popping up in some recent receptions. Here is a pared down version with hints of navy and bright gerber daisies.
