The Lucky Seven

1. The Fashionista: No, we are not talking clothes her ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about the guests who are always fashionably late. They are the ones walking with the wedding party down the aisle searching for a seat, but you probably already knew they were going to be strolling through a little late based on late invitation, last minute allergy, or phone call the day prior to the wedding asking what time the ceremony starts.

2. Good Time Charlie: If you plan on having an open bar, it is a guarantee that “Charlie” will attend. All of us have that good time friend who everyone loves, but always seems to have one or two or three too many drinks. While he might not make the best decisions, he is sure to bring life laughter to your event.

3. “But First, Let Me Take a Selfie”: Between the junior bridesmaids’ smartphones, snapchat, and grandma’s new digital camera, you will have guests who are selfie obsessed. Not only can you plan on catching the secret-selfie-takers in action, but you can find all the ones you missed posted on “Selfie Sunday.”

4. The Man with the Moves: This is the guy who is starting the Cupid Shuffle before dinner is served. He will have all the kids rallied on the dance floor, tie around his head, dancing until his feet fall off.

5. Clinkety One and Clinkety Two: As dinner is served and everyone is enjoying the company of their table, you hear “clink clink clink, KISS!” So you and your hubby lean in for a smooch, smile, and continue with your dinner. A minute later you hear, “clink clink clink, KISS,” but not from just one person, now it seems you have two guests dueling on either side of you. Don’t they know this is a family affair? There will be plenty of time for that on the honeymoon, but for now let’s keep the clinking to a minimum.

6. The Critic: Whether she is a bride to be or a bride still looking for a groom, she has something to say about everything. The venue should be larger, the food saltier, the bouquets more exotic, the lights dimmer, and the list goes on. What she does not realize is this is your vision not hers!

7. Cute as a Button: There is always that guest who is melting everyone’s heart; maybe it’s your ring bearer puppy, Little Benny chatting it up with the ladies, or Grandpa Joe working it on the dance floor at 86 years old. Whoever it is, your guests will have their eyes on him or her all evening.
