Christmas catering in San Diego has a hard deadline. The holidays don’t move, the calendar fills out two to three months ahead, and the menu expectations are mostly fixed: prime rib, turkey, ham, and the classic sides. What changes is the format. Some want plated service in their home. Some run a corporate Christmas party at a hotel or office. We cover every Christmas catering format in San Diego, from a 12-person family dinner in Point Loma to a 200-guest office holiday party downtown. Book early. December gets crowded.
Four things shape every Christmas catering booking we run.
Prime rib, turkey, baked ham, lasagna for Italian Christmas Eve, the classic sides, traditional desserts. We cook the menus people actually want at Christmas. We also customize for vegetarian, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free guests so everyone at the table is included. If your family has a traditional recipe (great-grandmother's lasagna, a specific roast preparation), we will cook to the recipe you provide.
Some want servers in the home for a plated dinner. Office parties run on stations and a bar. We do all four formats and recommend the right one based on your headcount, your venue, and the experience you want guests to have. Service mode is a conversation, not a fixed menu.
December is the busiest catering month of the year in San Diego. We staff and prep specifically for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day window. Most December weekend dates fill 8 to 12 weeks ahead. Christmas Day deliveries are scheduled out by mid-October. The earlier you reach out, the more options you have on menu, timing, and service mode.
Since 1988, we've catered home Christmas dinners in Point Loma and La Jolla, corporate holiday parties at downtown hotels, and family gatherings across San Diego County. Christmas is on our calendar every year, with the same crew that knows how to deliver a hot Christmas dinner on December 25 while you stay out of the kitchen.

For peak Christmas dates (December 23, 24, and 25), book by mid-October to lock your preferred date, menu, and service mode. December weekday office Christmas parties can usually be confirmed 4 to 6 weeks ahead. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you have on menu, timing, and staffing.
Our Christmas menus center on the classics. Mains: slow-roasted prime rib with au jus and horseradish cream, herb-roasted turkey breast with pan gravy, brown sugar glazed ham, or roasted pork loin. Sides: garlic mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts with bacon, roasted root vegetables, dinner rolls, and a fresh winter salad. Desserts: pecan pie, pumpkin pie, or a holiday-themed cheesecake. For Italian Christmas Eve, we run a Feast of the Seven Fishes menu with shrimp scampi, calamari, baked clams, and seafood pasta. Full menus available on request.
Full-service Christmas catering includes chef and serving staff in your home for plated dinners or buffet service. We also do full-service Christmas parties at offices, hotels, and event venues with bar service and rentals coordination.
Yes. Christmas Day catering is one of our biggest service days of the year. We schedule our prep team to start early on December 25 so deliveries hit your stated serving time exactly. Christmas Day pricing reflects holiday staff scheduling, with the same menu quality and service standards as any other day. We quote the specifics during your booking conversation.
Christmas catering pricing depends on guest count, menu, service mode (drop-off, buffet, stations, or plated), staffing, bar service, and any rentals. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day bookings carry a slight premium because of holiday staffing. We do not publish flat rates because every event runs different. Send your date, headcount, menu direction, and serving location and we will build a quote within a few business days.
Yes. Our minimum for drop-off Christmas catering is 10 guests. Full-service plated Christmas dinners typically start at 20 guests because of the staffing involved. For groups of 6 to 10, we recommend a delivered family-style spread or a small holiday meal package with the same menu range as larger bookings. We adjust the service mode to match the group size.
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, kosher, gluten-free, dairy-free, and allergy-specific accommodations are part of every Christmas catering booking we do. Our menus list standard options and we adjust as needed. If your family has a traditional Christmas recipe you want us to cook (an Italian Christmas Eve dish, a specific roast preparation, a family lasagna), we will work from the recipe you provide.
Send the event details: date, headcount, location, and the kind of Christmas catering you are picturing (home dinner, office party, plated, buffet). We will be in touch within 24 hours to talk through menu, service mode, and timing. December dates lock in fast, so the sooner the conversation, the more flexibility we have.
